Tapping is a simple, effective and increasingly popular method of gaining a sense of ease and balance. It is primarily used to help alleviate the emotional and physical issues that are holding you back. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, widely known as Tapping.
EFT involves gently tapping on acupressure points on your face, hands and body, whilst using words and phrases to focus on an emotional issue, pain or difficulty you are experiencing.
As with Shiatsu, EFT helps you bring balance into the body’s energy system and send signals to the brain that control stress. Clinical research shows that stimulation of the end points of energy meridians sends calming signals to the brain, lowering the stress hormone cortisol.
As a treatment on its own or working hand in hand with Shiatsu Massage Therapy, Tapping can be used in times of physical pain, ill-health, stress, anxiety and depression. It also works well as part of your self care toolkit!

I find Jenny’s EFT Tapping sessions help give me some personal insight and bring balance and calm when I am caught up in old patterns. Jenny is warm, supportive and understanding. She really takes time to listen and help me identify what I need to address and she works with me to help frame the issue and get clarity so it can be worked with. She is a truly insightful, kind, and warm human being and I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to work with her.
Jenny taught us EFT Tapping during weekly online sessions for limbless veterans. Now I use the tapping regularly to help with phantom limb pain. When I have been overdoing things, the pain gets worse. Tapping helps to slow me down, so I don’t get so stressed. It’s become a habit. Tapping has become as regular as breathing to me and calms my mind. I do every morning. It really helps. Jenny is really supportive and she takes time to listen to what we need. She makes learning easy and fun.
I joined Jenny’s online Shiatsu Connects classes, during the Covid 19 lockdown 2020. That year, I lost 6 close members of my family. I suffered a heavy, sad feeling that was lodged in my body. I couldn’t lift my arms up above my head, it was so painful.
It was lovely to be able to talk to Jenny and to share my thoughts and feelings with someone who understood and cared.
She introduced the group to EFT Tapping. I was a bit sceptical at first! But after a few sessions, my shoulders felt a lot lighter, and I was able to lift my arms straight up above my head. And to this day, thankfully, I have had no more problems!
Very grateful to Jenny for offering me support to help process the heaviness and sad stuff that was lodged in my body. I thought I was going to be stuck in an unhappy, miserable body for the rest of my life. Now I feel I can go forward with confidence and a smile on my face.
